I have chosen patient-physician web message correspondence (mostly in the form of emails) as the disruptive health technology to investigate for the first HLTHINFO 728 assignment. I chose this topic because there are a number of such systems being used in New Zealand and overseas for some time, and there has been a number of studies conducted to critique and evaluate the effectiveness, ethical issues and accessibility for enhancing patient-physician communication through this form of technology.
